The story begins with a Man Who Loved Allah

Long, long ago, there lived a kind man named Nuh.

Allah chose Nuh to be a Prophet. His job was special. He had to tell his people to stop worshipping idols and statues. He wanted them to worship only Allah.

“Allah made the sky,” Nuh told them. “Allah made the sun and the stars. Only Allah deserves to be worshipped.”

Nuh spoke to his people for a very, very long time. He spoke to them for almost a thousand years! Some days he spoke quietly. Some days he spoke loudly. He never gave up.

Then came the difficult days of Hearts That Would Not Listen

Sadly, most people did not listen to Nuh.

They laughed at him. They covered their ears. Some even threw things at him.

A few people came to Nuh quietly, late at night, so the others would not see. They were afraid of being teased too. But in their hearts, they knew Nuh was right.

Only a small group of people believed Nuh. They prayed to Allah. They knew Nuh was telling the truth.

Nuh felt sad sometimes. But he never stopped trying. He kept telling his people about Allah, day after day, year after year, even when it felt like nobody was listening at all.

Here is how Allah’s Big Instruction changed everything

One day, Allah spoke to Nuh in a very special way. Allah told Nuh to build a huge boat.

“Build an ark,” Allah said. “Build it tall. Build it strong.”

Nuh did not argue. He began collecting wood right away.

There was just one strange thing. Nuh was building this enormous boat far away from any sea! There was no water nearby at all.

Next came the long days of Laughter and Hammers

Every day, Nuh worked on his ark. He hammered. He sawed. He fit the wooden planks together piece by piece.

His neighbors walked by and laughed.

“Why are you building a boat on dry land, Nuh?” they teased. “There is no water here!”

Some of them mocked him even harder. They thought it was the silliest thing they had ever seen, a giant boat sitting in the middle of dry sand.

Nuh did not get angry. He simply smiled and kept building. He trusted Allah completely, even when it didn’t make sense to anyone else. He knew that Allah always keeps His promises, even when people cannot imagine how.

The story turns with the arrival of a Special Sign

After a long time, the ark was finally finished. It stood tall and strong, ready and waiting.

Then Allah gave Nuh a sign. Water began to bubble up from an oven in his home, a place where water should never come from!

Nuh knew right away. This was the sign Allah had promised him. It was time.

“Hurry!” Nuh called to the believers. “Bring your families. Bring two of every animal, one boy and one girl of each kind.”

What a busy, wonderful, noisy day it was!

Elephants stomped up the ramp. Birds flapped their wings and fluttered inside. Tiny ants marched in pairs. Lions, sheep, camels, and rabbits all found their places on the ark.

Imagine the sounds! Roaring, baaing, chirping, and buzzing filled the air as every kind of creature found a cozy spot inside the big wooden ship.

Nuh gathered the believers too. Everyone who trusted Allah climbed aboard, safe and ready.

Here the story pauses for a Sad Goodbye

Nuh had a son who did not believe. Nuh called out to him.

“Come with us, my son! Don’t stay with the people who don’t believe.”

But his son shook his head. “I will climb a mountain,” he said. “The mountain will keep me safe.”

“Nothing can save anyone today except Allah’s mercy,” Nuh told him gently.

His son did not listen. It made Nuh’s heart very heavy. Even a Prophet cannot make someone believe; that choice always belongs to each person’s own heart.

And then the Rain Begins

Then the sky opened up. Rain poured down, harder than anyone had ever seen. Water rushed up from the ground too, gushing and bubbling everywhere.

The water rose higher and higher. It covered the houses. It covered the hills.

Inside the ark, it was safe and dry. The animals rested calmly. The believers held onto each other and prayed.

Outside, the people who had laughed at Nuh were no longer laughing. They finally understood that Nuh had been telling the truth all along. But by then, the water was already rising too fast.

The waves outside grew as tall as mountains! The little ark rocked back and forth on the enormous waves.

“Bismillah,” Nuh said softly. “In the name of Allah, this ship will sail. In the name of Allah, this ship will be safe.”

Allah was watching over the ark the entire time. Even in the wildest storm, nothing could harm those who trusted in Him.

Then comes the moment the Waters Go Down

After many days, Allah spoke to the sky and to the earth.

“Earth, swallow up your water,” Allah commanded. “Sky, hold back your rain.”

And just like that, the rain stopped. The water slowly began to disappear into the ground.

And finally, the ark goes Landing Safely

The ark gently came to rest on the top of a mountain called Mount Judi.

Nuh opened the door and looked outside. The land was fresh and clean and quiet. The sun was shining again.

“Peace and blessings from Us,” Allah said, “and blessings upon you and upon nations that will come from those with you.”

Nuh and the believers stepped off the ark together. The animals scattered out across the land, two by two, just as they had come.

The earth looked brand new. The air smelled fresh and clean. Sunlight sparkled on the wet ground.

Nuh had trusted Allah through years of being laughed at. He had trusted Allah while building a boat with no sea in sight. He had trusted Allah through the biggest storm anyone had ever seen.

And Allah had kept him safe the whole time. Nuh’s story reminds children that being patient and doing the right thing always matters, even when it takes a very long time to see the results.
